Hydrocarbonate.
Hydro-carbonate is a natural product and is used in Calciumreactors, hardening up filters, but also in bio filters and as bottom ground for marine and Malawi/Tanganika aquariums. It creates natural calcium - carbonic acid equilibrium in all aquariums with alkaline pH value. In calcium-reactors, that are supplied with CO2 , it dissolves completely forming Calcium-bi-carbonate

Bactoballs are the optimum packing material for biological filters in various applications. They are used in trickle filters in aquariums, in denitrification filters and in trickle filters of bigger holding systems and aquaculture systems. The construction of the plates with the passage in the middle ensures a very even distribution in every situation and height. The big surface of 300 m2 /m3 allows a high concentration of active bacterial biomass

Multiballs.
Multiballs are a filter medium, where a biological function can be combined with a desired chemical filtration. They resemble bigger Bactoballs . This means, they own their properties like big surface and good water distribution in every situation. The clou is however: They consist of 2 half globes, which can be separated easily. Inside is an empty space that can be filled with different chemical filter media. Suited are e.g.: activated Carbon, antiphos, zeolite, hydro-carbonate, or peat granulates, depending on the desired effect. So an individual biologic - chemical filter material

Deniballs.
Deniballs are made of a special biologically produced plastic material. This material is metabolized by bacteria, and is used in the absence of oxygen for the reduction of nitrate. Thus nitrate is reduced to nitrogen gas. 1 - 3 packages of Deniballs ( Pyramides á 0,8 l), are enough for a Nitratreductor as sole food source for up to 12 months ( app 5 Liter ( 1,25 Gallons) in the Nitratreductor 5.000). After this time, they have to be renewed. Deniballs - for safe and maintenance free denitrification in seawater and freshwater aquariums.
