Nitratereductor Closed System.
The Nitratreductor is an anaerobic biological filter for the removal of nitrate from marine and freshwater aquariums. Its characteristics are the big volume of 10 Liters Gallons) , the internal circulation and the low flow rate of 1 - 4 l/hr ( 0,25 - 1 gph). Under these conditions, special bacteria metabolize nitrate in the absence of oxygen. As energy, they need organic food, that is added as Denimar tablets and Deniballs. A control of the process is possible using a redox potential controller (ORP controller). A connection port for the probe is included. The Nitratreductor is a closed system, whatever can be operated integrated in filtration systems or individually under the aquarium. The Nitratereductor 5.000 uses the same biological principle as the smaller Nitratereductor. It has a volume of 30 l and is supplied with an internal circulation and a connection for a redox probe (with standard thread). The feeding of the bacteria is performed manually with Denimar of automatically using Deniballs. Sulphur Nitrate Filter
The Deltec Nitrate Filter for Salt and Freshwater Aquariums are a useful addition to the Deltec aerobic sprinkler filter or other high performance aerobic filter systems. Feeding of fish (and invertibrates) can lead to unwanted very high levels of nitrate in the marine aquarium. Very high levels of nitrate can be detrimental to the health and well being of the aquarium inhabitants. The Deltec Nitrate filter system removes not only nitrate on a fully biological level but also produces important trace elements through a reduction process. Small quantities of phosphate is also removed under certain conditions, however Rowaphos should still be used in conjunction with this product. This process is made possible by bacteria under anaerobic conditions with the aid of a special liquid nutrient. The special nutrient is added slowly to the filter water through special osmotic membrane bags.
