Liquid Reactor
Description: Liquid Reactor is a complete calcium buffer system designed to give the same results as costly calcium reactor systems without investing in a reactor, CO2 tank, solenoid, and pH controller; also, there is no risk of overdosing CO2 and causing subsequent problems with algae and/or pH. This product will raise the concentrations of calcium, magnesium, strontium, and carbonates (alkalinity) in the system, and is chloride, phosphate, nitrate, and gluconate free! Each 16 oz. of Liquid Reactor will treat 5,000 gallons or 18,900 liters and contains 126,000 ppm of calcium and 193,000 ppm carbonates.

Directions: Shake vigorously for 5-10 seconds immediately before each use! Add 5-10 ml (Cap on 16 oz. bottle equals 5 ml, Cap on 64 oz. and gallon equals 10 ml) per 55 gallons (200 L) aquarium capacity directly to an area of high water flow each day until target calcium level and alkalinity are reached. This product is intended to cloud the aquarium and any cloudiness observed (due to its highly-concentrated formula) will dissipate within an hour or so. It is strongly recommended that Liquid Reactor be added to the system at night, in order to counter the natural tendency for pH to decrease during this time, and to allow time for the aquarium to clear. Each 1 ml of Liquid Reactor per gallon of purified water will increase the concentration of calcium by 33 ppm and carbonates by 51 ppm.

Considerations for use: Kent Marine Liquid Reactor is an aqueous complex of calcium and carbonates; additionally, it provides magnesium, strontium and trace minerals. This material originates from ancient marine deposits that are now terrestrial (not collected from current marine environments, and so does not contribute to reef-destructive collection practices). Liquid Reactor is free of pollutants, and organics which may be present in aquatic muds of terrestrial origin. This is a simple means to dose calcium, magnesium, and carbonates to reef aquariums without the high cost, maintenance, and potential for CO2 overdosing associated with calcium reactor systems. Furthermore, hobbyists wishing to avoid addition of chloride ions to their reefs will benefit greatly from Liquid Reactor as it is chloride-free and will not cause ionic imbalance!

The rate of calcium and carbonate depletion within an aquarium will govern the rate at which the residual concentration of these ions is increased by Liquid Reactor. Liquid Reactor is designed to work well with all Kent products. Hobbyists may choose to add other Kent Marine supplements to target specific ion deficiencies in their systems, revealed by testing or to raise levels more rapidly. Kalkwasser Mix or any Kent calcium product, or Tech•CBTM and Tech•MTM may be used simultaneously, if necessary or desired. If you choose to use these products, less will be required, so be conservative with dosing. Use Kent Marine Essential ElementsTM, Coral-ViteTM, and Tech•ITM, simultaneously to maintain proper water parameters between water changes with Kent Sea Salt, and add PhytoPlexTM, Coral•AccelTM, and new ChromaPlexTM to provide optimal nutrition for filter-feeding marine invertebrates.

A pH of 8.0 to 8.3 and an alkalinity of 2.9 to 4.5 meq/L (8 to 12 dKH) is recommended. Calcium level should be maintained between 400 and 450 ppm. Test calcium & alkalinity and adjust the recommended dose for your particular system! Description: Garlic Xtreme contains a powerful source of garlic that can serve many purposes in aquariums. Used as a food soak, Garlic Xtreme is a strong attractant, enticing finicky eaters to begin feeding sooner. Additionally, Garlic Xtreme may be used directly in aquarium if fish are not eating. Garlic Xtreme contains no artificial ingredients or steroids, and does not need to be refrigerated!

Directions: Add 2 drops Garlic Xtreme per teaspoon of fish food each time you feed. Do not feed more than can be eaten in a five minute period. Use particularly if parasites are present or fish have visible wounds or infections. If fish are not eating, Garlic Xtreme may be also added to the aquarium at the rate of 1 drop per 10 gallons.

Considerations for use: Kent Garlic Xtreme is an all natural food additive for all ornamental fishes. It is a natural attractant for fish and will help cause finicky eaters to take food. Phytoplex.
Kent Phytoplex is a highly concentrated complex of aqua cultured, naturally occurring marine phytoplankton • It contains Nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis and Isochrysis sp. Tahitian ranging in size from 2 to 15 microns • Phytoplex provides necessary proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids for live hard & soft corals, tube worms, clams and other invertebrates • It is rich in the omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA and is useful in feeding rotifers and other plankton and in raising larval fish. Phytoplex is grown in cold saltwater under laboratory conditions. It contains over 3 billion cells per capful and is typically about 15 times as concentrated as competing live cultures, meaning that one 8 oz. bottle of Phytoplex has more phytoplankton cells than 1 gallon of the competition. It is free of viruses, toxins and heavy metals which can be a problem when using live algae cultures, cultured in outdoor ponds. Kent Pro Tech Coat Marine neutralizes chlorine and heavy metals. It restores the natural slime coating to relieve fish stress, calm, and protect against abrasion. It helps acclimatize fish to new surroundings. It can be used when preparing tap water, making water changes, adding new fish, handling fish, transporting fish, or when fish are wounded. Pro Tech Coat Marine is different than competing products because it contains only costly polyvinylpyrrolidone as the coating ingredient. Phosphate Sponge.
Kent Marine Phosphate Sponge is not an algaecide, but a ceramic medium which will adsorb phosphates quickly (within hours) when placed directly in the water flow. Works in fresh and saltwater aquariums or ponds to bring about 1.0 ppm of phosphate or silicates down to less than .05 ppm in a 120 gallon tank for every dry quart of medium. For silicate to be removed, phosphates must first be removed. Beads are cracked to expose more surface area and increase efficiency! This product will not release soluble aluminum compounds into your aquarium, causing negative reactions from your inverts, as competing products may. Will also absorb moisture for use as an air dryer for ozone, and can be renewed over and over in moisture removal service!

Description: Diets deficient in omega-3 fatty acids can promote head and lateral line erosion (HLLE) syndrome in freshwater and marine fishes. Zoecon provides essential marine omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. Enriches foods for saltwater and freshwater fishes. Contains shark liver oil, which contains natural immune system stimulants. Useful in raising fish and invertebrate larvae, as well as fortifying live food for juvenile and adult fishes and invertebrates. Phosphate and nitrate free, and contains no yeast or sugars!

Directions: Shake well before using. To use as a food soak, in a small container add 1 drop (0.5 ml) Zoecon and 4 drops (2 ml) Zoe to dry or frozen food, and soak for 5-10 minutes. Then add the contents of the container to the aquarium. When raising brine shrimp and other live aquatic foods, add 2 drops (1 ml) Zoecon and 8 drops (4 ml) Zoe per liter water to the rearing container, and allow 12-16 hours for maximum nutritional enrichment. To benefit invertebrates, Zoecon can also be added directly to an aquarium at the dosage of 1 drop per 50 gallons water daily.

Considerations for use: Kent Zoecon is a properly preserved food enrichment product designed to provide freshwater and saltwater fishes with essential marine lipids and the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. Zoecon will benefit fishes that have a diet deficient in lipids, and in which signs of head and lateral line erosion are present (pitting of the skin in the facial region and lateral line). Using Zoecon as a food soak and fortifier of live foods increases the portion of lipids and highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA’s) in the fish’s diet. Also, the addition of deepwater shark liver oil containing alcoxyglycerols enhances fishes’ immune systems, and is useful in treating fish with injuries caused by rough handling and fighting with other aquarium inhabitants. Regular use of Zoecon can help prevent nutritional imbalances in fishes and invertebrates (both passive filter-feeders and active foragers).
