Marine Control Hydrometer
marine control is a density meter for the exact measurement of salt concentration in aquaria. In reef aquaria, the salt concentration should be adjusted between 1.022 and 1.025. marine control has a measuring range from 1.018 to 1.028 and an accuracy of 0,00025. The maximum deviation is 0,001 at 25°C (77°F). The preferred measurements should be done in a stable glass cylinder (optional).

The salt content of water can be determined using the electrical conductivity. A special feature of the Conductivity monitor and controller LF 2001 C is the broad measuring and control range, that is divided into 2 ranges: From 0 - 2.000 µS, the unit is used for monitoring desalinated water and freshwater, in the range 0 - 200 mS for brackish and salt water. Thus the unit can be used for the control of reverse osmosis units and breeding tanks with soft water and for the control of the salt content in marine aquariums. The unit is supplied with a directly connected, seawater resistant graphite electrode.
